OVERVIEW: Hyper Team 9 is a hyped-up parody of the beloved archetypes of Japanese animation, and has terrific mass-market appeal, given the mainstreaming of the once-cult animé phenomenon (Pokémon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, and teen-to-adult series like Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Bubblegum Crisis and Robotech).

The series follows the visually-stunning and seizure-inducing adventures of Hyper Team 9, whose four members are patterned after animé ideals. Aryu, the tough street fighter; Ana Mae, pop-star and armored crimefighter; Montana, gender-neutral kid and Fuzzy Fighter trainer-in-training; Squeeg, Montana's sugary sweet Fuzzy Fighter and best friend. Together they fight the Evil Empress Crodatia, interdimensional villain, and her 50-foot-tall robot, Giantifitron. Created in Flash, using stylized character animation techniques in the animé mold, this series will appeal to the same people who watch (or hate) the previously mentioned animé titles, as well as hyperkinetic shows like Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls and even Johnny Quest. Also has great licensing and merchandising potential, if we can take it seriously!
